It is indeed our pleasure and honor to acknowledge those who have helped us in the progress of New Energy Foundation. The list includes those who have helped us financially (the Donors), the ones with whom we have implemented the solar lantern for evening education (the partner organizations) and the ones through whom we have implemented this, the people who are working at ground level (the facilitators).

Rose an Organization for Supporting Education (http://www.rosevzw.org/) -ROSE  Rose is an independent, nonprofit (called a "vzw" in Belgium) and volunteer organization based in Leuven. Its mission is to support and foster basic education for children from economically disadvantaged rural communities in developing countries. Towards its mission ROSE organizes fund-raising events such as concert and dinner and receives donations and support from individuals, companies, and like-minded organizations. Founded in 1967, Applied Materials creates and commercializes the nanomanufacturing technology that helps produce virtually every semiconductor chip and flat panel display in the world. The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)-TERI was formally established in 1974 with the purpose of tackling and dealing with the immense and acute problems that mankind is likely to be faced with in the years ahead

Ekal Vidyalaya - The Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation is a charitable trust that initiates, supports, and runs non-formal one-teacher schools (popularly known as Ekal Vidyalayas) all over the country. With the participation of numerous non-profit trusts and organizations, this program has now become the greatest non-governmental education movement in the country. Friends of Tribal Society - Friends of Tribal Society (FTS) is a society registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961.  This organization was formed by a group of social service activists in 1989 with a vision to improve the welfare and status of vanvasi people essentially through a two-pronged approach of spreading literacy and providing health services to them. The functionaries believe that unless the socio-economic condition of the poor and downtrodden tribals is improved, the country will never prosper or progress. Read more....http://www.ftsindia.com/

Timbaktu Collective - The Timbaktu Collective is a registered voluntary organisation that was initiated in 1990, to work for sustainable development in the drought prone Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, India.  As of March 2006, the Collective had a team of 63 members and worked in about 112 villages of Chennekothapalli, Roddam and Ramagiri mandals of Anantapur district, serving about 33,000 marginalised people. The Collective focuses on the landless, small and marginal farmers with special emphasis on women, children, youth and Dalits. These are the people who are most affected by situations like chronic drought, unproductive land, unemployment and poor infrastructural facilities. read more....http://www.timbaktu.org/
 

Hand in Hand - Hand in Hand is a Public Charitable Trust registered in the year 2002 with an initial focus on child labour elimination, education, and the empowerment of women. The organisation has been in operation since 1988 in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. With time, our activities have expanded as per the demands from the rural communities in which we are working, and have come to include poverty reduction interventions among rural, poor families in a big way. We envisage an integrated strategy to address the challenges of poverty and underdevelopment. Bhagavatula Charitable Trust - Bhagavatula Charitable Trustworking in the rural Visakhapatnam district since 1976. The misson of BCT is to create opportunities at the door steps of the villagers Continuous self-improvement in the quality of their lives Generating their leadership in solving their problems & utilizing their resources most effectively.  The vision of BCT is to transform 100 villages in 3 mandals, viz. Yellamanchilli, Atchyutapuram and Rambilli of Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh into model villages in such a way that all able bodied persons are gainfully employed, that substantive improvements in the state of literacy, health and economic sustenance take place and that local leadership and facilitation is fully developed. Our Facilitators - The success of NEF planning and implementation depends on the services of many volunteers that are working with us. The acknowledgement would be incomplete without the mentioning the name of those people. Some of these names are mentioned here:
